A heuristic approach for green vehicle routing

This paper addresses a green capacitated vehicle routing problem that accounts for transportation emissions. A Dynamic Programming approach has been used to formulate the problem. Although small-sized problems can be solved by Programming, this is infeasible larger due curse of dimensionality. Therefore, we propose based solution involves ideas restriction, simulation and online control parameters solve large-sized problems. The added values proposed decision support tool have shown on base case relatively Performance comparisons heuristic against other existing approaches reveal its effectiveness, as in most instance-setting pairs, outperforms ones. Accordingly, an alternative tackle real confronted sustainable logistics management.
